Geocaching - the somewhat different scavenger hunt

On a treasure hunt with GPS devices

Everyone knows navigation systems. So do road signs. But these are signposts from those days. How did prince-bishops and their guests actually find their way to Wewelsburg Castle in earlier centuries, without a route planner or other technical aids?

Together with the museum educators, the children first explore these questions and learn a lot about traveling in times gone by in the museum.

After a short introduction to the GPS devices, even for "muggles", they then set off on an adventurous journey of discovery to the coordinates. There are tricky tasks to solve around Wewelsburg Castle. The children can look forward to finding out which cache it is!

Please remember to wear sturdy shoes and weatherproof clothing. If the weather is really bad, another program can be arranged.
