Witches' kitchens, pill makers and alchemists

Witches, pill-poppers and alchemists

How could the fire disappear? Why did a snake suddenly emerge from the earth? And what is a pill maker? Is it all hocus-pocus? Or a secret science?

The Dark Ages were not so dark after all. Herbs for countless ailments grew in the gardens. Alchemists tried to produce gold and found recipes for medicines, perfumes and cosmetics.

So, open your eyes, prick up your ears and then follow your nose through the fragrant herb garden, the witches' kitchen and the children's laboratory. The quiz will make your head spin. To top it all off, our young alchemists receive a medieval experiment to take home.
