The ultimate Halloween Guide 2024 for Salzkotten and the surrounding area

As fall approaches, so does Halloween and more and more young and old Halloween fans in Salzkotten and the surrounding area are looking forward to a ghoulishly beautiful time. If you are looking for insider tips, you will find a varied list of Halloween activities in the region here.

Spooky houses, haunted gardens and co.

• Scharmeder Schlotternächte (30.10. + 31.10.2024): This year, the family decorates their carport for the young visitors, who are allowed to have a 100% child-friendly scare here.
• Halloween in Cappel (30.10. + 31.10.2024): The particularly brave can experience horror up close in this exciting horror house. It is a popular attraction that draws numerous guests every year.
• Halloween special at Nadermann Zoo (26.10., 27.10. and 31.10.2024.): On three days in October, Tierpark Nadermann opens its gates in a ghoulishly beautiful guise and invites Halloween fans big and small to get spooked (in a child-friendly way).
• Rumor has it that there are also "haunted houses" in Paderborn on Pankratiusstrasse and in Bad Waldliesborn with impressive Halloween decorations. Unfortunately, we were unable to find out anything about this.

Halloween parties for kids and teens

• Hangover Club Gütersloh (26 + 27.10.2024 from 2 pm): For little Halloween fans, the party at the Hangover Club in Gütersloh is a cool event. In addition to a spooky show, there will also be a costume prize draw and really spooky decorations.
• Halloween party at the Johanneshaus, Delbrück (26.10.2024): Organized by the kjg Delbrück. Information will follow on the website.
• Halloween party in the Gartenschaupark Rietberg (27.10.2024): Spooky concert with the band DEINE KINDERBAND and spooky craft workshop.

Halloween activities

• Halloween riding at Steig Auf e.V.(26.10.2024): On this day it will be spooky at the riding facility in Soest. The SteigAuf association is inviting children to this year's Halloween ride. Riders will ride through a spooky course, which can also be mastered without any riding skills and with lots of fun.
• Spooky night: "The eerie laboratory" at the Westphalian Salt Mine (31.10.2024): In the salt worlds, once a place of science and wisdom, a botched experiment by the missing professor has conjured up disgusting monsters and spooky creatures, and with the help of the witch, the devil and the spider, we must clean up the mess and tame the secret powers of salt to find him and put everything back in order!
• Scary reading in Gütersloh in the weaving mill (27.10.2024): Ideal for story lovers big and small. An exciting reading creates the right spooky atmosphere and is a relaxing alternative to the many active events.
• Halloween cinema in Westenholz (31.10.2024): A selected scary movie is shown here, which is particularly suitable for the younger ones. A perfect end to the Halloween evening with popcorn and scary stories.
• Halloween crafts at the JTD Delbrück (24.10.2024): There is also something for the creative souls among the little Halloween fans. Here, children can make their own Halloween decorations and discover the right spooky motifs!
• You can also find various Halloween-themed craft activities with artist Ilona Glade from the CREATORES art studio. Themed creative afternoons for children and teenagers will take place on 23.10.2024, 26.10.2024 and 30.10.2024.

Pumpkin carving:

• Halloween pumpkin carving in Bad Lippspringe (28.10.2024): Whether scary grimaces or cheerful faces - children are cordially invited to carve their pumpkin in the Gartenschaupark on 28.10. and then take it home with them. Please note: prior registration is required.
• Village children's seminars pumpkin carving(28.10. + 29.10.2024): In Delbrück-Westenholz, children aged 3-10 can spend an afternoon in the "Hospitable Village" and carve a Halloween pumpkin under expert supervision. The afternoon is rounded off with a campfire and stick bread. Please note: Prior registration is required.
• Pumpkin carving event at Hof Krüger Bielefeld Brackwede: From September, children and adults can carve their pumpkins together and turn them into scary Halloween decorations. Registration is requested.

Pumpkin farms worth seeing:

• The well-known Tölle strawberry farm (Weltsöden 3A, Salzkotten) is not only making a name for itself with its delicious strawberries. The farm is also worth a visit during the pumpkin season, with a beautiful pumpkin pyramid adorning the square next to the farm store.
